Azul linhas áreas vai abrir nova base no Recife e gerar 300 empregos

A companhia aérea Azul vai instalar no Recife uma base para tripulantes de voo, que funcionará no Aeroporto Internacional dos Guararapes. A base, uma espécie de escritório regional da empresa, entre outras funções, dará suporte aos funcionários que fixarem residência na capital pernambucana, sobretudo pilotos e comissários que trabalham nas rotas integrantes do hub da Azul (centro de conexões de voos) que existe no Recife desde 2016.

O presidente do comitê executivo da Azul Linhas Aéreas, José Mário Caprioli, vai comunicar o investimento da empresa no Estado ao governador Paulo Câmara, na manhã de hoje (8), a partir das 9h, no Palácio do Campo das Princesas. Com a abertura do crew desk, como é chamado esse tipo de local para uso dos tripulantes baseados na cidade, a Azul espera gerar cerca de 300 novos empregos diretos dentro dos próximos 12 meses, sendo 110 pilotos e 190 comissários, além do pessoal administrativo. A nova instalação da Azul deve entrar em funcionamento em junho deste ano.

A Azul informou ainda que a abertura da base de tripulantes de voo no Recife faz parte do modelo de negócios da empresa e consolida o Recife como o principal centro de conexões da companhia no Nordeste. Antes da instalação do hub da Azul em Pernambuco, a empresa realizava 24 decolagens no Estado. Agora são 55 decolagens, com abertura de 20 novos mercados, incluindo quatro destinos internacionais.

Piloto da American Airlines é preso na Inglaterra por suspeita de estar bêbado

Um voo da American Airlines que iria de Manchester, na Inglaterra, para a cidade americana da Filadélfia, foi cancelado depois que um dos pilotos foi preso por suspeita de estar embriagado, confirmou a companhia aérea à emissora NBC.

O piloto, que ainda não foi identificado, era um de três que fariam o voo AA735. Ele foi preso depois que autoridades suspeitaram que estava acima do limite de álcool por volta das 11h da manhã desta quinta (7), pela hora local, explicou um porta-voz da American Airlines.

O voo foi cancelado e todos os passageiros tiveram suas passagens remarcadas. "Segurança é nossa maior prioridade e pedimos desculpas aos nossos clientes pela interrupção de seus planos de viagem, nós colocamos em voos alternativos", disse o porta-voz da companhia. “Estamos cooperando plenamente com as autoridades locais”, completou.
